The 10th edition of TechInnovation 2021 has been successfully hosted by Innovation Partner for Impact (IPI) as a fully digital 24-hour event from 28 to 30 September 2021. As one of the key partners, HKBU have showcased ten innovative technology and solutions for the betterment of health and wellness. This technology matching event aims to bring international technology providers and enterprises to accelerate the commercialisation of emerging technologies, seed licensing opportunities and foster open innovative technology.
The TechInnovation 2021 was held from 28 to 30 September 2021
This year, TechInnovation 2021 followed the theme of “A Sustainable & Resilient Future” with more than 160 exhibitors including 11 national innovation agencies and technology consortia and more than 2,000 attendees across all time zone to join the event virtually. Over 400 technologies from 20 countries participated and showcased their innovative technology and solutions. More than 50 leading industry leaders in technology and design-led innovation were invited to speak on the sub-theme of “Green & Sustainable Future”, “Sustainable Food & Nutrition” or “Health & Wellness”.
Dr Alfred Tan, Head of Knowledge Transfer Office from HKBU and Ms Laura Conzijnsen are introducing series of HKBU innovative technology and solutions for betterment health and wellness.
Under the theme of “Health & Wellness”, Prof Lyu Aiping, Dean and Chair Professor from the HKBU School of Chinese Medicine was invited to speak on “Current Situation in Standardisation of Chinese Medicine”. Prof Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development) of HKBU, was invited to speak on the topic of “Clinical-based Research at Chinese Medicine Hospital, Hong Kong”. They were both invited to discuss how to use sustainable technologies to meet current challenges especially under the post-pandemic period.
