Professor Victor WONG specialises in social work with more than 25 years of experience in critical youth work and youth studies, career and life development, empowerment and narrative practice, health care and social policy. With a PhD degree from the University of Sheffield, he is a Professor of Department of Social Work of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and has registered as a Registered Social Worker (RSW).

With his passion for empowering and uplifting youths, Professor WONG actively engages in collaborative projects as funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and Research Grants Council of Hong Kong. Professor Wong's major research topics involve:

  • Community-based interventions of career and life adventure planning for youths
  • A study of the role of collective psychological ownership in the relationship between work conditions and workplace well-being among young adult social workers
